Medical supervision of community neurological rehabilitation programmes
25 April 2017
In response to considerable interest from claimant solicitors the Chambers is now able to offer medical supervision of the community neurological rehabilitation programmes commonly prescribed as a result of a medico-legal assessment.
Solicitors have told us that while they have been able to arrange case management and input from nurses and therapists readily, it has proved consistently difficult involve medical specialists in neurological rehabilitation as part of the privately funded treating team.
Medical input is of course essential to ensure the appropriate investigation, diagnosis and treatment of complications and to provide a healthy context for the input of other team members. Patients are simply not able to benefit fully from rehabilitation interventions when they are unwell or suffering from treatable complications. Our experts can attend clinical reviews in person or provide opinions by phone or email depending on the clinical situation. Please contact us to discuss any cases where you think this service may be helpful to your client.
