Peter has extensive experience in writing medico-legal reports, both for the claimant and defendant and has carried out between 50 and 100 reports a year since 1984. He attended the Crown Court at Durham and Newcastle on many occasions and has frequently given evidence in Sunderland Magistrates Court.

Peter has been a Consultant Neurologist at Sunderland Royal Hospital and Newcastle General Hospital since 1994, and his field of expertise includes the whole range of neurological conditions – for example head injury, whiplash and low back pain, as well as nerve injury. Peter has carried out a number of research projects in the fields of epilepsy, headache vascular disease and tropical medicine.
