Medico-Legal Experience

Dr Colin Pinder, Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine, has been actively writing medico-legal reports since 2010.

Over the past several years, he has completed a substantial number of medico-legal reports in personal injury cases, with more than 80% of these reports prepared on behalf of the claimant and in addition, a number of medical negligence claims.

Dr Pinder’s extensive experience in all aspects of neurorehabilitation underscores his proficiency in handling a wide range of brain injury-related medico-legal cases.

Clinical Experience

Dr. Pinder holds the position of Consultant in Neurological Rehabilitation at both St Cyril’s Rehabilitation Unit in Chester and The Walton Centre in Liverpool. In these roles, his work is primarily centred around the assessment and ongoing follow-up of patients with severe brain injuries. He evaluates head-injury patients who do not require inpatient rehabilitation and manages complex cases involving a dual diagnosis of brain injury and psychiatric illness.

His tenure as a Consultant in Neurological Rehabilitation began at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust in 1999 and since 2020, he has worked at St Cyril’s Rehabilitation Unit, located within the Countess of Chester Health Park.

Dr. Pinder has been the Regional Specialty Advisor for the Royal College of Physicians for Rehabilitation Medicine since 2017, a role that underscores his expertise and leadership in the field.

Special Interests

In addition to brain injury, Dr Pinder also supports patients with minor head injuries, post-concussion syndromes, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, spasticity and other neurological problems.
