Medico-Legal Experience
Dr Atif Rana is a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine who brings his expertise to medico-legal work, grounded in his training across specialist neurorehabilitation, spinal injuries and major trauma services.
His practice is informed by experience in assessing complex neurological and musculoskeletal conditions across acute, inpatient and community settings. He has particular expertise in functional outcome evaluation, rehabilitation planning and the long-term management of patients with significant disability.
Clinical Experience
Dr Rana has broad NHS experience across neurorehabilitation, spinal injuries, major trauma and amputee rehabilitation, having trained within the East Midlands Deanery across multiple specialist centres. His clinical work includes rotations through level 1 neurorehabilitation services, spinal injury units and major trauma rehabilitation centres, alongside experience in respiratory and acute medicine.
He has developed expertise in managing complex neurological and musculoskeletal conditions, including patients requiring multidisciplinary rehabilitation across acute, inpatient and community settings. His practice includes spasticity management, amputee rehabilitation and trauma recovery.
Dr Rana is actively involved in teaching, research and service improvement, and has contributed to quality improvement projects focused on traumatic brain injury and spinal injury services.
