
Medico-Legal Experience
Dr. Laura Bach, a highly experienced Clinical Neuropsychologist, has been serving as an expert witness since 1998, accepting instructions for both defence and prosecution cases with an even 45:55 split. She has extensive experience in providing oral evidence in court.
Dr. Bach is dedicated to delivering high-quality services, which encompass conducting comprehensive neuropsychological assessments, producing detailed interpretative reports, actively participating in conference meetings, and offering ongoing consultation with counsel as required. She also possesses the capability to present oral evidence in court.
In recognition of her exceptional contributions, Dr. Laura Bach was honoured with the Expert Witness of the Year Award in 2018, highlighting her commitment and expertise in the field.
Clinical Experience
Dr Laura Bach is an experienced Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist with over 27 years of practice in specialist neurorehabilitation, stroke, and acquired brain injury. She is currently Lead Clinical Neuropsychologist for Inpatient Neurological Rehabilitation Services at Holywell Neurological Rehabilitation Unit, (CLCH Hospital Trust), where she provides assessment, intervention, and consultation for patients with neurological injury and cognitive impairment.
Her previous posts include Lead and Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist roles at the Acute Stroke Unit, Croydon Hospital, The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation and Northwick Park Hospital’s Regional Rehabilitation Unit. She has also worked across community and inpatient neurorehabilitation services in London, including Homerton Hospital, St George’s Hospital, and the Lishman Brain Injury Unit.
Alongside her NHS work, Dr Bach has held academic posts as Visiting Research Fellow at Goldsmiths, University of London, with a research focus on insight, social cognition, and outcomes in acquired brain injury. She has published widely in peer-reviewed journals, contributed to psychoeducational materials for families affected by brain injury, and supervised clinical trainees and research projects in neuropsychology.
