Medico-Legal Experience

Medical Expert Witness Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine Dr Jonathan Mamo provides medico legal expertise for cases involving acquired brain injury, stroke, spasticity, progressive neurological conditions and spinal injury.

Clinical Experience

Dr Mamo is a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine working within both Solent NHS Trust and University Hospital Southampton providing specialist rehabilitation input within the Trauma and Spinal Departments.

He also provides outpatient care to patients with traumatic brain injuries, complex strokes, spinal cord injuries and an array of neurodegenerative diseases (including MND and Neuromuscular disorders). Dr Mamo is also the Director for Rehabilitation Services within the Wessex Trauma Network covering the South Central Region of the UK.

Special Interests

Dr Mamo has a special interest in acquired brain injury rehabilitation (including stroke), complex spasticity management following acquired stroke or brain injury, spasticity management including botulinum toxin chemodenervation, sialorrhoea management, management of degenerative neurology including palliative neurological care, and spinal injury medicine.
