Medico-Legal Experience
A medical expert witness with over 20 year’s experience, Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine Dr Lloyd Bradley is motivated to share his expertise with the courts by seeing the enormous impact good neurological rehabilitation can have on people’s lives.
With medico legal training including Excellence in Medico-Legal Reporting (Bond Solon) and Acting as an Expert Witness since 2013 Dr. Bradley has offered specialised insights for a broad spectrum of cases, including acquired brain injury (including stroke) rehabilitation, spasticity management, chronic neurological disease and young adults with complex disability.
Dr Bradley accepts around 8 instructions each year.
Clinical Experience
Dr Bradley is a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine at The Royal Hospital for Neurodisability in Putney working with patients with acquired brain injuries in a level 1 inpatient neurorehabilitation unit.
Dr Bradley previously oversaw a service in West Sussex where he worked extensively across acute and community settings including with patients in long term specialist care.
Dr Bradley has extensive experience in generalised neurological rehabilitation (progressive and acquired neurological disease) as well as specialised services for young adults with complex disability, progressive multiple sclerosis and the management of spasticity.
Special Interests
Dr Bradley has a particular interest in:
Acquired Brain Injury (Including Stroke) Rehabilitation: The assessment and management of patients, from early acute stage to specialised inpatient rehabilitation, community and vocational settings. This includes experience of working with patients with prolonged disorders of consciousness. Collaborating with various multidisciplinary teams and key healthcare stakeholders, Dr Bradley is a recognised authority, having published academic works and led regional teams in enhancing service delivery.
Spasticity Management: Led a specialised service offering both pharmacological and physical interventions, which included botulinum toxin injections and intrathecal baclofen. He has been responsible for the training and supervision of therapy practitioners.
