Medico-Legal Experience

A highly experienced expert witness, since 2022, Mr Srinivasa Budithi has brought his wealth of medical knowledge to the medico-legal sector, standing out not just for his expertise, but also for his dedication to continuous learning. He undergoes regular CPD-accredited training, ensuring that his proficiency remains at the forefront of medicine and law, making him a sought-after authority in medico-legal reports and testimonies.

With medico legal training experience including the BMA’s Excellence in Medico-Legal Report Writing, Expert Witness Institute’s Expert Witness Essentials and the BSPRM’s Quantification of Catastrophic Claims, in addition to NRC Medical Experts Training, Mr Budithi offers specialised insights for a broad spectrum of cases.

Clinical Experience

Mr Budithi is a Consultant Surgeon in Spinal Injuries, currently working at the Midland Centre for Spinal Injuries. With extensive experience in managing spinal cord injury patients across the acute, subacute, and long-term follow-up phases, he has refined his expertise in spinal rehabilitation and complex patient care.

Since joining RJAH Orthopaedic Hospital in 2017, Mr Budithi has played a key role in the delivery of high-quality spinal injury care, while also actively contributing to research, service improvement, and education. His leadership roles include serving as the Pressure Injury Management Service Lead in the Spinal Injuries Centre, Adult Safeguarding Lead Doctor, and Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Lead for the NHS Foundation Trust.

He is also involved in teaching and is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Cardiff University, where he contributes to postgraduate modules on wound healing and tissue repair.

Mr Budithi earned his MBBS and MS in Orthopaedics from Andhra Pradesh, India, and holds qualifications including FRCS (T&O) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Fellowship of the European Boards in both Orthopaedics and Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine.
