Embracing new ways of working to support our clients

Desktop reports, remote assessments and free pre-assessment conversations are just some of the ways we are supporting clients as the impact of Covid-19 is felt across the UK.

At NRC Medical Experts, we are now carrying out virtual clinical assessments where appropriate. In our experience, clients or their loved ones usually have access to a smartphone or other technology during usual consultations and this new approach is working well.

Our Experts are using video calling via FaceTime, Skype or WhatsApp to carry out the assessment, working with the individual and their family/support worker in advance of the appointment to ensure the technology is available and tested. We also continue to offer desktop reports as an alternative to full assessments.

When face to face assessments are required

Where a physical examination must be carried out, NRC Medical Experts will produce a report which recommends a future face to face consultation when it is safe and sensible to do so, without putting clients at risk. If the client isn’t comfortable with a remote assessment, we are also offering appointment dates (subject to restrictions being lifted) for later in the year.

Supporting you online, on the phone and via email

Desktop reports and remote consultations are supported by pre-instruction conversations – free, no obligation chats where solicitors can discuss cases with our leading experts prior to making any decisions about instruction.

Our Head Office team is fully equipped to work remotely so we can maintain our usual service to you, including facilitating pre-instruction conversations and administration.
